Photography Association

I have always harbored an interest in photography and aim to learn more to improve my own work. Last week I attended a meeting for a local Photographic Society. It was interesting to see how many people were also hobbyists or a little more hardcore. They held their monthly competition night which involved a judge going through each entry and explaining what the entrant could of done better or why a shot was really good. This was interesting to listen to and gain knowledge from. The society also holds events where they go places together to photograph a subject. These types of events should be good and I look forward to joining them on such an event, see how other people work and view the subject.
